  • Grant Updates

    Safe Routes to School (SRTS) – Illinois Funding Cycle: The Illinois Department of Transportation announced a new 2023 Funding Cycle for the Safe Routes to School Program. Both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects will be available beginning August 1 through October 2. The non-infrastructure program will have significant changes this cycle, and more information will be released.

Community Profile/Fact Sheets are available for several counties and municipalities in the Bi-State Region, including the Davenport-Moline-Rock Island Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which is locally known as the Quad Cities Region; Henry County, Illinois; Mercer County, Illinois; Muscatine, Iowa and surrounding area; City of Kewanee, Illinois; Village of Milan, Illinois; Villlage of Orion, Village of Port Byron, Illinois; and City of West Liberty, Iowa.

These fact sheets provide a glimpse about life in the area, with statistics related to employment, transportation, health care, entertainment, education, communication, utilities, climate and cost of living.

Mission Statement

A local, voluntary organization of five counties and 47 municipalities. We serve as a forum for intergovernmental cooperation and delivery of regional programs and to assist member local governments in planning and project development.
