Careers in Planning and GIS.  Bi-State Regional Commission encourages those looking for jobs in the field of planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)  to visit several resources - city or county planning departments, regional planning agencies, economic development, transportation planning organizations, and local, state, and federal government offices.   Our staff provides outreach to local colleges/universities, high schools and elementary schools on an appointment basis to speak on career aspects of planning, GIS/mapping and data analysis.  Contact our office for more information on our speakers' bureau.
