    The MPO Transportation Technical Committee meeting is set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Bi-State Regional Commission office, 1504 Third Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois. 

    The meeting will include The meeting will include a presentation on state Transportation Alternatives Program funds and a discussion on the Carbon Reduction Program.  Meeting agendas and minutes can be accessed here.

  • Transportation Grant News

    Federal funding opportunities:  Rebuild American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Program ($1.5 B available) (submission date 14 April 2022) and the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIPD) ($450 M available) (submission date 16 May 2022). The Bi-State Regional Commission (or CBAWC) is collaborating with the Maritime Administration (MARAD) to provide additional information and support pertaining to these grants.  Visit Federal Funding Opportunities - CBAWC.org

     

      

  • Project Programming Processes

    The Quad Cities Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA) receives certain federal transportation funds to prioritize and locally select projects for those funds. This is known as the project selection and programming process. The Quad Cities MPO Transportation Policy Committee (TPC) is delegated the authority to program funds by the Bi-State Regional Commission. The Bi-State Regional Commission, as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), receives its authority under the currently authorized federal transportation act.
