Federal funding opportunities: Rebuild American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Program ($1.5 B available) (submission date 14 April 2022) and the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIPD) ($450 M available) (submission date 16 May 2022). The Bi-State Regional Commission (or CBAWC) is collaborating with the Maritime Administration (MARAD) to provide additional information and support pertaining to these grants. The Quad Cities Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA) receives certain federal transportation funds to prioritize and locally select projects for those funds. This is known as the project selection and programming process. The Quad Cities MPO Transportation Policy Committee (TPC) is delegated the authority to program funds by the Bi-State Regional Commission. The Bi-State Regional Commission, as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), receives its authority under the currently authorized federal transportation act.
